National Natural Resources Management Knowledge Conference
Conference Wrap Up
The second National NRM Knowledge Conference attracted 248 participants over two days at the Melbourne Cricket Ground – a venue which offered natural light and a scenic outlook, neatly matching the conference theme Changing Landscapes.
Thirty six papers were presented, divided into plenary and concurrent sessions. Another 45 abstracts and 27 poster papers were offered and published in the conference handbook.
The plenary sessions were focused on the strategic issues facing regional bodies, and the concurrent sessions were aimed at sharing the breadth of experience and achievements in regions around the country. Sadly, not all could be given air space in the limited time available for the conference.
We have prepared a summary to give just a flavour of the presentations, most of which are now available in full on the website.
The Victorian Catchment Management Authorities Chairs’ Group, on behalf of the National NRM Regions Chairs’ Working Group, thank you to our sponsors, our presenters and our participants for your great contributions to this very memorable and rewarding conference.
Dr Peter Greig
Chairman, Corangamite Catchment Management Authority
